Welcome to the Catalpa. Some call it the breakfast room, we prefer to think of it as the Botanic breakfast experience. Take your seat among the plants and antique botanical illustrations, and savour the sunny ambiance as you indulge in our special morning greeting: a Belgian waffle – crisp, warm and light as a feather – and a stimulating smoothie shot made to a secret recipe by Fine Fleur’s acclaimed chef, Jacob Jan Boerma – all part of his and chef Thomas Diepersloot’s aim to conquer Antwerp’s culinary hearts! Order your choice of tea or coffee and embark on your very own culinary journey.

The buffet is carefully curated by breakfast chef Johan Aarts. Always striving for perfection, Aarts’ selection of treats pays close attention to local producers: help yourself to delicate fish and seafood, astounding Belgian cheeses, the most delicious breads and artisanal charcuterie. Overnight oats, granolas, fruit, salads, yoghurts, pastries, eggs, bacon, jams and juices are just some of the buffet’s many stars. And then there’s our à la carte menu: cooked to order … and perfection.
